The location of Blue Bayou is easy to get to either by boat or by car from the Island bay Lodge. By boat it’s 20 minutes. By car it’s 5 minutes. By boat is more fun!
Blue Bayou Inn is ready to greet you for dinner 6 days a week, Monday through Saturday throughout the tourist season, from Memorial Day to late October. This is a local favorite for many reasons but the main reason is because the food is so delicious. Blue Bayou is small but it makes up for it in so many ways.
Reservations are preferred for dining hours which are from 5 pm to 9 pm, especially for parties of 5 or more, in order to ensure proper seating arrangements. This is a rule that is loosely followed as the owners are generous and accommodating. The staff is outstanding and its one of this reviewers favorite places to go.
Blue Bayou restaurant offers a setting of New Orleans charm in the Wisconsin Northwoods and can accommodate up to 100 patrons.
The rustic lakeside deck, with its open view of Lake Manitowish, is also available if you’re in the mood for a casual drink or appetizer from the bar menu.
