Burgers as big as your head and tons of fun. The music in the juke is good and it’s a short trip back to the lodge in the middle of the night.
Yummmm … ! One of my favorite spots to go when up north and it’s just two minutes away (literally) from the Island Bay Lodge. Go out the parking lot and head out on Island Bay Road and take a right on Old Hwy 51, drive for two minutes and you’re there. This is a pizza place, a bar food place, a beer drinkers place, a giant burger place, and it’s fantastic!
This is not fine dining as the name itself is a big clue as to what you’re in for but I’ll bet you go there more then once while staying at the lodge. Don’t worry about finding an outfit in your luggage as the Rustic Roadhaus only wants to see your smiling faces. The Rustic even has WiFi although I’m not sure why.
If you have kids with you and you’re on vacation GET THE PIZZA! You won’t find a better pizza in the north woods then at the Rustic. The Rustic pizza gets 5 out of 5 pepperonis in my book.
